Welcome to the Humanities in Australia Today (HAT) project website.
The HAT project is a year-long Australian Research Council funded study, which is reviewing current activity and likely trends in teaching and research across the academic humanities in Australia.
Throughout 2009 and into 2010, the Australian Academy of the Humanities is seeking the participation of scholars across Australia to help us form a complete picture of the humanities as currently arrayed.
In addition to collating statistical information about the humanities, we are running surveys, consultations and focus discussions to get a nuanced understanding of the key issues facing the sector today.
So, please, take a good look around the website. You’ll find latest news and project information, ‘roadshow’ updates, and links to our online surveys.
